1. The GearOrb Shooter’s Code of Conduct

As an owner of a high-energy mechanical slingshot, every user represents the wider global outdoor community. We ask our community to uphold these fundamental safety tenets:

  • Never Draw or Aim at What You Do Not Intend to Shoot: Treat every loaded elastic band assembly with the same awareness and respect as traditional ballistic gear.
  • Know Your Backstop & Downrange Trajectory: Always ensure your shooting lane terminates in an engineered pellet catch box, heavy canvas trap, or impenetrable natural embankment.
  • Wear Impact-Rated Eye Protection: High-speed latex band releases carry inherent snapback risks if improperly maintained. Always equip ANSI Z87.1 approved ballistic eyewear.
  • Keep Out of Reach of Minors: Always store mechanical slingshots, ammo magazines, and hex tools disassembled or secured in their protective cases away from children.

2. Our Stand Against Unlawful Wildlife Harm

OUR FORMAL PLEDGE: GearOrb does not market, endorse, or design its equipment for the wanton shooting or indiscriminate injuring of songbirds, raptors, or non-game wildlife.

We strongly advocate adherence to local Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Fish & Wildlife services, and regional conservation frameworks. In jurisdictions where small-game harvesting is legally sanctioned and permitted, hunters must hold valid state licenses and adhere strictly to humane ethical harvesting codes.

3. Environmental & Habitat Conservation

Our carbon-steel ammunition is reusable and recyclable. We actively promote the use of magnetic target catchers to collect fired steel balls for reuse, preventing metal waste from accumulating in outdoor natural spaces. Pack it in, pack it out—leave public lands cleaner than you found them.
